Ontario Men's (NO NAME) Tankard

It really is a shame that this event does not have a title sponsor, I thought that TSC Stores would be around for a while, they had a cute little jingle. Anyway, this event is over really before it starts unless team Howard has a melt down from Trial fatigue. There really is no other team that should come close to these guys when they are on. Best shooters in Ontario currently. Oh Peter Corner and others will play well but are not currently in the same class. I think Napanee will do a great job and it is not far from Ottawa so the crowds from there might come down. But the biggest thing about not coming is, it is right on your own tv set. So unless they tape delay the games a few hours, the crowds might be lacking...

Good luck to all the teams this year, remember Bob Ingram?

Ontario and OJCT

Ontario making both finals is great for Ontario. I would like to thing it has something to do with the Ontario Junior Curling Tour, but also along with other factors too... Coaching, mental toughness to name a few. But, to play and have the opportunity to play amongst the best in the province week in and week out, from September to mid November gives these Ontario athletes a chance to improve at a faster pace.
I also like that the OJCT is expanding in the province and will allow our junior curlers to keep getting better as they continue to grow, and develop their skills. No not everyone will win the province or Canadian championship, but they will get better.

All the best to two of the OJCT participating teams Rachel Homan and Jake Walker today. Lets hope that your goals can be reached. But if not, you have done all you can do to get there, and it is only one game...
